    Take a Bus to Support Charity for a Chance to Win Grand Prizes including A Pair of Round Trip Tigerair Tickets to Universal Studios Japan Print

    The Transportation Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government has launched a promotional campaign "Take a Bus to Support Charity for a Chance to Win Grand Prizes including A Pair of Round Trip Tigerair Tickets to Universal Studios Japan" starting from July 20 to December 1, 2019. By taking buses, the public can not only help disadvantaged children with the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families to support public welfare but can also get a chance to win one of 110 great prizes including "A Pair of Round Trip Tigerair Tickets to Universal Studios Japan in Osaka ". One person wins and two people can travel together. To participate in the drawing, the public simply needs to log on to the Transportation Bureau's Facebook page "tbkcdream" to register the e-ticket cards and then take Kaohsiung City buses by swiping the registered e-ticket cards during the promotional campaign to accumulate the number of draws. The more you take the buses, the greater your chances of winning.
    Kaohsiung Deputy Mayor Yeh Kuang-shih remarked that bus fare promotions such as "Pay Two Zones and Free for the Day,", "Free Bus Transfer within 2 Hours" and "Maximum Fare NT$60 for Highway Buses" have received an enthusiastic response from the public. To encourage more people to take buses and to give back to society, the government has teamed up with the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families and Tigerair Taiwan. During the promotional campaign, the public just needs to go to the promotional campaign webpage to register the e-ticket cards and take the buses, and the Transportation Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government, on behalf of the participant, will donate NT$1 to the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families to help disadvantaged children-NT$1 donation for every participant regardless of students, parents, office workers or elderly.     Director-General of the Transportation Bureau Yung-Hsiang Cheng noted that as the temperatures hit new highs again this summer, by taking buses passengers can enjoy air conditioning, keep cool and stay eco-friendly. There is no need to ride a scooter under the scorching hot sun. In addition, this year a special promotional campaign "Taking a Bus to Support Charity for a Chance to Win Grand Prizes" was introduced. Special thanks to Tigerair Taiwan for sponsoring six pairs of Kaohsiung to Osaka round trip tickets.
    During today's (19) press conference, Tigerair Taiwan's Chief Commerce Officer Huang Shihhuei was specially invited to support the promotional campaign and also to encourage the public to take the buses to tour Kaohsiung. The public can take Yellow 1, Green 1, 100, 205 Jhonghua Main Line and E05 to major attractions, department stores, scenic spots and historic sites such as Sanduo shopping district, Pier 2, Dream Mall, Sizihwan, Chengcing Lake, Urban Spotlight and even to the ferry station to enjoy a bowl of shaved ice. The public can not only avoid the headaches of traffic jams and finding parking spots, but can also get a chance to win the grand prize, support the charity and give back to society.

To participate, the public must visit the Facebook page “tbkcdream” to register their e-ticket cards and personal contact info. During the promotional campaign, on weekdays when taking a Kaohsiung City bus swipe the registered e-ticket card (swipe the card when you get on and off the bus), and you will get a chance to draw (a maximum of 8 draws can be accumulated per card, per day on week days). Better yet, on holidays two draws are given for every bus ride (a maximum of 16 draws can be accumulated per card per day on holidays).
