Every night as the sun is setting in the west, the golden rays reflect on the 10-20 kilometers of coastline in Mi-tuo, Zhi-guan, and Yung-an, which is collectively called the Gold Coast of Kaohsiung County.
Having gone through years of transformation done to the geological surface, the original coastal beach has gradually disappeared. To prevent erosion from the ocean waves, kilometers of tetrapods are placed by the coastline, which have also created distinctive geological scenery. The gazebos on the Gold Coast are especially perfect spots from where visitors are able to overlook the seaside sunset. Sea bank here at the coast has already become the best place for the town people to take a walk, fishing, and go on a date. There is a forest of beef woods along the coastline, where visitors can BBQ, make tea, take a rest, as well as enjoy the ocean view, the sunset, take a walk or bike along the kilometers of seashore. |
