Amongst the types of birds observed in Taiwan, heron is the kind that is the most common but also often ignored. Actually, egret can be categorized into ittle Egret, Intermediate Egret, and Great White Egret, which is the most common kind of resident bird and has a total length of about 61 cm. The easiest way to identify these egrets is from their sizes. Little egrets have sharp and black beak with greenish yellow paws, and there are several thin, long and beautiful decorated feathers behind their heads. After farming, egrets can be seen all around the years in the paddy fields, estuary, or fisheries (which is exactly the case for Mi-tuo, where egrets have already become a part of Mi-tuo). Great white egrets and intermediate egrets have sharp beaks in yellow and black paws. Great white egrets' neck is longer and more bended than that of intermediate egrets. They are both winter birds, but all three types of water birds possess group habitat quality, so they can be found in lakes, paddy fields, and creeks.
